About This Spot

Stepping into Coachman Restaurant and Bar is like revisiting a familiar neighborhood gathering spot where time slows down just enough to let you settle into a comfort zone. Nestled quietly along Preston Avenue in Saskatoon, this unpretentious gem carries the warm cadence of a place where conversations flow easily and everyone feels at home, whether it’s a bustling breakfast or a leisurely evening meal.

The atmosphere moves at an inviting, unhurried pace. The worn-in booths, softly glowing lights, and well-loved wooden accents echo years of stories and laughter shared among locals and newcomers alike. It’s exactly the kind of place where the day’s worries pause—here, the focus is on good company, hearty plates, and genuine moments of connection.

The kitchen serves up familiar, homestyle comfort with subtle touches of savory nostalgia. Whether you’re indulging in a plate that might feature a perfectly seasoned fish fry or sinking your teeth into a burger that’s as satisfying as it is straightforward, the flavors invite a return visit. There’s a distinct feeling that each dish, from breakfast classics to daily specials, is crafted with care rather than instant trendiness. The kind of food that feels like a reassuring handshake from an old friend.

It’s the thoughtful, quiet attention from the staff that truly colors the experience here. The kind of hospitality that remains warm even on the busiest mornings and carries through the evening with steady, welcoming smiles. Such care reminds visitors that this is more than just a dining spot—it’s a cornerstone of community where stories are exchanged, and familiar faces are valued.

For those seeking a genuine taste of Saskatoon’s neighborhood rhythm, Coachman offers a quietly enduring refuge. It’s a place where you can linger over a strong coffee, savor the robust flavors of a home-cooked meal, and simply enjoy the ease of belonging to a local tradition.

Loved the overall feel. My daughter and i had breakfast, and my son had fish and chips. Both were very tasty and very good value for the money. Waitress was fantastic

This review is aimed at their liver and onions. I know. Gross to some but heavenly to others. Rarely do people know how to cook this meal, but after having ordered this 3 times, I have to say it is delicious. Tender large slabs of liver topped with gravy and accompanied with mashed potatoes, it's superb. I will come back for this. Mind you, this place has very dated decor. The walls are painted in dusty pink and accompanying colours that are a tad drab. This place is due for a makeover, if even just a better happier paint colour. The waitresses are great: service with a smile and friendly!
